So Im having A LOT of trouble finding the 500V 15A Diode. I have over 10 sources who I buys all my parts from and just cant seem to be able to buy just a couple of those diodes. One place said I need to buy 5000 minimum.... another said 1000 minimum with a month and a half lead time. Does anyone have a few I can buy or knew an excellent source for these or maybe can tell me good substitute values for this piece.

That should work fine. The diode I used in my own converter is a SFA1608G, the current rating just needs to match or exceed the IRFP450's current rating. I've made a PCB design for the boost converter, which should be published within this week ends.
