Ok as you might know from the thread that disapeared into the depths of cyber space i am building a coil gun mounted on a lego mind storms car and i will make it all RC. I have no acsess to camera curcuits and so i used my electronics part supplyer for the parts my problem: His strongest capacitors has only 100V but 4700uf. I have magnetic wire so that all delt with btu my supplyer was clueless about: SCR switches, remote controlign and mos tof all boost converters of over 50V and how to build them. He asked if i could send him a picture or diagram of the whole thing to help out, or of just the required parts inorder for him to help me. I looked around a bit but couldnt find what i needed, can one of you hlp me out? Thank you

You can order parts from digikey. Shipping isn't much.

Link2 Please don't ask about the boost converter, I'm getting really tired of people's interest in it. sad If you can build it great, but otherwise you should stick to camera chargers.

Threadjack! I imagine the original poster will need to know this too: Where do you guys get barrels and coil mounts from? I'll only use plastic barrels.

I'm going for a barrelless design for my next coil gun :) Its ganna shoot from one coil straight into the next . . . 'friction reduction'. wink

*Hits face against wall repetetively* I swear if i could get this darn hacker id beat him up...

In the thread i made which got deleted because of this little... I mentioned that i cannot ge tmy hand on camara currcuits, i said it atleast 4 times but oh well. Trust me i would love to keep things simple but all one way camaeras are sent away to be developed and only a single shop in town develops him self and they said they get a camera every 3-4months, i dont have that much time. So i am afraid i need to build a boost converter no way about it. Oh and i have my barrel and coil mount figgured out pretty well. I am clueless about electronics but anything that involved good old work tools or parts which would ussually be found on a fire arm i can make, so that is sorted. Thanks for your help guys, i am really thankful for it!
