The aforementioned have contributed financially to the continuing triumph of 4hv.org. They are deserving of my most heartfelt thanks.
actually i am using Uzzors Boost Converter to charge my caps, and i am using the DPCO switch to charge/stop charging/discharge. but the thing is that for every 10 or 20 shots i have to get the new switch. the one which i'm using is 250AC 16A. please help me what can i do? or is there any speacial switch, like DPCO (Double Pole Centre Off) for higher voltage or Amper?
what do you mean by the way SCR( silicon control rectifier)? i have used that IRFP450 to charge my cap, but i need the switch which i can handel more that 300V please specify thanks

You need to keep replacing the switch because the contacts are welding together. A scr (scilicon controlled rectafier) is basically going to replace your discharge switch. They have high pulse current capabilities so they make a ideal switch for this application.

For discharging the caps into the load you would want an SCR like teslacoolguy said. You could also use a mechanical switch for switching the bank but it has to close fast enough. Also it would have to make a good contact to the other terminal without bouncing. If the switch closes faster than the rise time, there is little current flowing when the switch is moving towards the terminals so it prevents the contacts from welding.
For discharging the caps so that they are safe to handle, you would want to put bleeder resistors across the cap. Choose a resistor that won't heat up or fail from seeing the voltage across the caps. Also you would want to have the resistance low enough so that they discharge all the caps in a reasonable amount of time. IIRC 5*R*C is the time in seconds that the caps will discharge ~99% of the way. You would keep the bleeders on the caps. Right?
