is there a calculator to find what my pulse width should be? i used the RLC calculator and inductor calculator already i'm charging to 350V, 3760uF and have a 24gram projectile. I want to know so i can start with the largest possible coil and make it smaller until i have it the correct size. does anybody have a guess of how many ms it should be?

The discharge time depends on the projectile length. We want the projectile to move its own length during the discharge time.
For my 150j coilgun I started with 8ms and worked my way down until finally ending up with 4ms. Your capacitor has more energy (230j) so I'd suggest starting at 4ms.
You'll probably end up at 1-2ms. Or less if it's a really short projectile.
Cheers, Barry Proofread everything to see if you any words out.
