Hi guys,

I read a lot of stuff about coil guns last days and diceded to give it a try..
I took the flash unit out of a disposable camera and it still worked out of the camera.
I removed the flash thing(lol) and i attached two wires on each side where the flash unit was.
But now when i hit the charge button it makes a stange bleeping noise and when i check the capacitor with my volt meter it is still empty :( And i cant figure out what's wrong

The two pins you have connected is just 300v from the capacitor. The trigger is the third pin you in middle of the two others.

Here is what you need to do:

Connect the wires direct to the capacitor then place a switch between on of them. When the capacitor is fully charged press the switch to fire..

Then connect a freewheel diode between the capacitor to protect it against the spikes coming from the coil after the projectile is fireed. (It needs to be opposite from + and - so you don't short the circuit)
