Pardon the total noob question, but I was wondering if there's anything wrong with using ultracapacitors like these - - in an Electro-Thermal gun. I was looking for a good, cheap source for capacitors that would take a massive pulse current and this is what I came up with. Alternatively I have an endless supply of CRT monitors, but I was under the impression that those capacitors are in the multi-thousand volt range and have very little capacitance. I'm wondering if there's a better place to salvage capacitors from old electronics if I just look around?
FYI, I'm making some very rough plans to build a crude ETG similar to this one: If I were using these ultracapacitors I would do a 1x10 or 2x5 layout.

The voltage on those caps are too low to do anything you would like to do, they will discharge vary slowly. If you look at your second link you will see that they used 400v caps. Which will discharge in less 1/4 of a second that 200F cap will take far greater amount of time to discharge I had a .12F 35v cap that took nearly 4sec to discharge through a small motor. So those caps would be no good.
