My knowledge of Electrics and Electronics is mainly self taught so tends to be eclectic , undisciplined . The thing that has puzzled me for years and I can not find any explianation is : The voltage from the secondary of an iron core transformer is governed by the Turns rule. But if I turn two coils ( bifilar) on an iron core at 1:1 - the same number of turns - then the out put is dictated by the frequency of the AC or pulsed DC.. Why is this ? Why does the back EMF from a pulsed , Bifilar coil not obey the turns rule; and what laws does it obey.

Previous posts by myself should indicate well enough that this is not my field of expertise, far from it, but i find it strange that your transformer doesent obey the turns rule. Could it be that you have too few windings, so that the core saturates?

If have a transformer you have made, could you show the tests and the voltages you got. Also show the winding plan, including start and finish of the winding.
Just an opinion here- the rate of change of the current sets the voltage and if the turns ratio is 1:1 the voltage across the primary will the same but, of opposite polarity for the two windings however if they aren't bifilar the resistance and induction of the two coils may differ.
My understanding of bifilar windings is that two parts of secondary or a primary are wound so they have identical shape and proximity to the magnetic circuit. This way the winding resistance is the same.
