Yes this is very easy to do if you know what to look for, take a look at my DRSSTC 2 thread, it has pics that show how to disable the limiter in a CM300DU-24F it's a very similar processes for other bricks.

Hm - could one leave the current limiters in the igbt's in case they are not going to be ran at more than their rated current, or is it just completely unwise to do in a DRSSTC in any case (desaturating the igbt with 600 amps through it sounds like no good).

Id belive its more reliable anyway keeping parts in thier if not under thier ratings, at least thats the case with whatever I built, this way its rare for me to kill IGBTs and MOSFETs.
