I'm trying to obtain a high voltage, low current source (<3ma). I can use either a flyback or a MOT. In the case of a MOT, I have several diodes, so I could make a multiplier.
My question is: which should I use the Mot+ multiplier or the flyback (DC flyback by the way).
If using the flyback, what driver do you recommend, voltage wise (ZVS, 555, resonant 555)?
I'm going to use the setup mainly to draw some arcs, although I might use it to charge homemade capacitors.
There isn't a specific voltage I want to get, just as high as I can (within the reasonable) get.

Ah okay, that I didn't know, I was experimenting what happens if I put this here and that there I don't know why, but the snubber circuit allows me to stretch the arc even further.
