Okay, so like i was building this really nice 3 stage coilgun and it was all going well, but my contact switches dont work if i go above 100 volts :/ so i was wondering if anyone knew any circuits that when i press the fireing button it turns on a timer that then turns on a relay after a set amout of time Thanks in advance!!!!!

I'd recommend you to use SCR instead of a relay, since they are faster and will yield you a better timing and a greater precision. Use the 555 monostable for the delays.
