hello ,I am new on this forum , I am working for a company to build hi voltage ns pulse power supply for lab use (a dream!) Aldo I only have my limited experience as hobbyist ,I now have to build a 1 KW 15 kv power supply as a primary supply for a pulse generator I already build a half bridge power supply ,directly power on the main ,using a gate drive transformer as a galvanic isolation in between the control board and the main ,I could get up to 400 w of power witch is pretty good ,with a relatively simple layout,but 400 w is not enough and I need to have control toward the currant out put (the gate drive transformer allow only 50/100 duty cycle) ,do any body know a lay out for a full bridge pwm control witch could be feed from the main with galvanic or opto-electric isolation of the control board? an other question: Is there a maximum power to a pwm using only one brick igbt and why is there a consensus is that this type of power supply should not be use above 200 W? thank you by advance for any answer... cedric

ok ,I reply to my self... for the second question: I hook up two mosfet in parallel and plug it on a 24 v 30 A dc source , direct to a fly-back with pwm control and injected up to 30 amp in the fly-back with out braking every thing...that about 600 W !!!
