Ive been working on a coilgun and i found my coil works best with 700 uF at 330 volts, but im going to be stepping up to 450 volts. Would i want to lower the capacitance to keep the same results I have???

Welcome to 4hv
When voltage is change the pulse will still be the same length; with the same capacitance and inductance. However it does change the pulse current according to Barry's RLC sim: . The greater current means the projectile will be accelerated faster and require a shorter pulse. Which could be acheived by lowering capacitance.
But what is the point in stepping up voltage if you want the same results?
Okay, sorry about being confusing, i wasnt thinkin quite right when i said to keep the same results (i was sleep deprived for 3 days in other words)...what i meant to ask is if i raise the voltage will i have to lower the capacitance as to not increase pulse time, which you answered for me...and my specs are
