I have an analog DC amp meter, and the resistor inside it is similar to the cheap Chinese ones i got on Ebay a while back, and like those its very faintly coloured. Anyways i was trying to find its value so i could just double the resistance and hopefully have this meter read half of what i give it. But the resistor. as far as i can tell goes Blue-Violet- then either grey or silver. and If it was grey it would mean the value would be 6700M ohms, but if it was silver it would be .67 ohms. Can anyone give me any insight into how i could further identify its value or whether which one of those values seems more realistic, My DMM doesn't read resistance so I cant do that. Thanks

If you want the meter to read half of what the actual current is, you would want to half the value of the resistor. The value is definately not in the Mega Ohm range. How can you have a name with "Labs" in it and not own a meter that measures resistance? That is literally one of the most basic tools you could possibly have. Go to the store and shell out $10 for one.
