Welcome to 4hv!

Well if you read the datasheet for that part, you wound know this:

it's has a 400A continues rating
600 volt DC rating
and is kinda slow < 40khz (to be safe)

Also keep in mind that the F series of CM IGBTs have a limiter that would have to be disabled
if you plan to run any amount of current 800A or higher in the primary circuit.

As for the IGBT yes it would work well for a big DR as long as you keep the Fo low and disable the limiter (RTC).
Ive seen many big coils use the CM300DU-24F (including my own) the work great.

The only thing about that IGBT that is kinda a hassle is the 600V rating, as big DRs like a big bus. smile

 		Your Fres is way too high and no to run at 600A you don't need to remove the limiter.

How large is your coil?

 		umm.. you will want to take out the limiter trust me(it's not a big deal to disable it). And no you can't run those at 102khz no way.

haha yes but I cheat and use phase lead! to switch the large IGBTs before the zero crossing.

You will have to keep your Fo low in order to run those IGBTs < 40KHz (I say 40KHz to be safe, they will most likely run at 60KHz but not very well)

 		oh 60khz is easy, becouse is 70khz in the secondary, but I don't know if I have many caps to do 60khz in primary coil
