I am trying out some more robust mosfets that have a much larger gate capacitance. I am currently using a 15v/3A regulator to power the TC4421 and TC4422 gate drives. While the gate drives can source 9A, my regulator is quite undersized. If I want to drive 4 of these mosfets I can see the gate waveform sagging.
What options do I have to get more current to drive the gates? Dedicate one 15v/3A regulator for each chip? Run two 15v/3A regulators in parallel?
what kind of caps do you have bypassing the drivers? i think you want a combo of something like a 10uf tantalum or multilayer ceramic and a .1 uf right at each chip

You do NOT need 3A to supply a gate driver! Even if the peak output current is 9A or evene much more!
The output current of a gate driver is a strong peak (amps) for a really small period (tens/hundreds of nS), so the avreage current is much lower, usually some tens of mA...
So, you need caps very close to the gate driver chip to supply the peak current, but the power supply only needs to provide the average current. For your application 15V with few hudreds of mA is more than enaugh...

Need more current for gate drive
