Does it matter, other than for very fast switching speeds, if the blocking diode is a schottky or ultrafast diode?
Schottky's only can block 30-50v, while an ultrafast diode can go much higher. If this is the case, why is the greater part of the voltage drop across the source-drain of the mosfet instead of the blocking diode?
