Just wondering can you drive a common flyback transformer ac or dc by using a sinewave tone generator on my laptop going through my amplifier into the flybacks primary? would it work? or would it kill my lappy and amp. thanks in advance

I wouldn't do it, because 1) the transformer looks highly inductive, 2) even if you are drawing e.g. just 200 watts maximum into the transformer, the reactive power (VA) is much higher, probably as much as 3 times higher and this is the load your amp sees, 3) the accuracy of the soundcard's converter can drop above ~20kHz.

Don't know about the laptop, but it'll probably blow the amp. They're designed to play music through speakers, not crank full power into evil inductive loads. If you've got an old amp that you don't care about, it might be worth a try.
Not only will the soundcard's "accuracy drop", it won't produce any output above 20kHz or so, unless you have one that's capable of 96kHz sampling rate.
