Over the past 2 months, I have been working on a wireless energy transfer project, specifically for mobile phones and mp3 players. Goal = wireless charge mobile devices & audio players. Ultimately: laptops, lamps, high powered devices.
Currently, I am able to power & recharge multiple phones/mp3 players.
I need some suggestions on how I can possible charge Laptops or high wattage light bulbs. Will I need bigger diameter transmitter coil? different coil size or material?

Please let me know what you think.. recommendations, criticisms, comments... anything will help.
I plan on adding more circuitry to this system later.

Neat demo
At present the phones are outside the alternating field of the transmitting coil. Have you given any thought to how you will prevent the transmitter from inducing undersirable circulating currents in the PCB traces and wiring of the mobile phones when they are placed within the charging coil.

You might get problems if you hit a resonance, but otherwise you won't get very big voltages or currents because they're not tuned, so the impedance is likely to be too high, and the tracks are likely to be short compared to the coil as well, so they won't generate much EMF.

The work you have done is really great but i think you should thanks to marko also for providing the oscillator design, i think you should mention his name in your post, i have seen your demo video there its clearly visible that design based on marko schematic. i am just only saying you that please give the honor to the person who deserve it.
