If your using 6v-220v why would you need sixty of the transformers? If you have 220v mains, the you would need forty of the transformers to handle the voltage, resulting in ~8kv. I don't know how the transformers would hold up being pushed like that. It would work, but not for too long.

Yes, you are true it is a typing error. But I have done calculations and between upper stage and its primary would be 8kV-220V=8kV, so I think trafos would be toasted frown

Cores would have to be ungrounded wich is dangerous, maybe it would be best with all-under-oil.

I you ever come to such a number of small transformers you can always try it.

Yeah, but the primary windings are still connected to 220V, which is basically 0V as Fusion already realized:

Exactly, if primary is wound over secondary you would have spot for easy breakdown.

You would have to seek for transformers with thickest possible plastic former and separated prmary/secondary windings,

You would have to ballast this. The 6v side of the transformer doesn't have enough inductance. I have fried a number of 12v-120v transformers this way.
