I found this schematic on 
 It says the high range is between 100uH and 5mH. If I add another range switch position with a .1uf or larger cap, could I measure larger inductances (like a tesla secondary or a mot), or is there some kind of physical limit?

It should work well enough if you add a third range using 0.1uF.
