Quick question. I have a metal tower with the wind generator wires running through it to my house. The generator wires have a lightning arrestor attached. The tower is grounded. A lightning strike on the tower, causing a current to flow through it, can induce a voltage in the generator wiring in the center. My question is would wrapping the generator wires into a coil have any effect in reducing the induced current by means of inductance resisting the sudden change in voltage? Or, is the amound of inductance I am adding trivial?
