Here is a teaser of my new variac, it is from a theater and I got it so cheap that it was a pure steal, only 67 euro!
Its 400 / 230 VAC (delta/wye) at 25A 3 phased, its in a real good condition after I cleaned out some dust, its controlled by a 24VDC geared motor with some relay controls for full up/down and manual up/down.
This is just a picture taken with my phone, will bring my dslr to work tomorrow, its currently stored there as I can not have a 100kg variac in my apartment, will be stored at my parents till I build a project large enough for those powerlevels, just couldnt resist buying it at that price :D

A CW SSTC in the class of +10kW Running more coils at the same time on the same supply also its a good reason for finding some 3 phased high voltage stuff :)
I did not have time to remove the shields this time :/
