Hi All,
First off now been around here in a while.
I have been set the task of building a counter based around D Flip Flops. I have come up with a state table, and inputs required to each inputs. I used K Maps to help simplify the expressions but the expressions come out correct and a quick check with some boolean algebra shows they are correct but something tells me I can simplify the expressions a little further.
My state table: mod edit: oversized image
The equations I got from the state table are:

Looking at the expressions I am sure I can simplify further by using some exclusive terms but I am not sure how to go about this. D_{A1} that is just a XNOR function, looking at D_{A2} there is a XOR term, D_{A3} there is a XOR term just unsure how to show this and simplify using exclusive functions.
Any one give me some light been trying for about a day and I never seem to get any further that the simplified functions using the K Maps.
Thanks.
Adam
