Finally the turbine and the supporting hardware works without problems.
It consist on:
-Pernament Magnet Alternator (single phase) 8+8 magnets , 8 pole stator (4.2 VAC @ 100 RPM , 1 Ohm)
-A 100W boost converter with open circuit tracking (preventing that the alternator output voltage swings lower than 80% of the OCV) designed using a TL494, an NE555 acting as a frequency to voltage converter and several LM358 for active filtering and comparator (this circuit allows sub-cut-in battery charging and deactivates itself when the output voltage starts to hit the battery voltage). The choice to limit the voltage swing to 80% instead of 50% was made because at 50% the blades stall due to the high TSR chosen, and to limit the power dissipation within the stator
-The Wind control unit with radio transmission and power counting (voltage meter, battery voltage meter, differential shunt, RPMeter, anemometer
-The wind receiver with over-rev and over-wind alarms
-a 6Ah 12V backup battery bank (SLA)
-a 5W solar panel for backup purposes
-a rotation sensing circuit turning on automatically the wind control (555 monostable, relay and sensing circuit)
-and of course the turbine itself with 0,71cm tip lenght (1,42 Diameter), made with PVC, tested up to 700RPM without visible damage (Alternator and bearings tested up to 1500 RPM)

Very nice! I have just savaged a F&P smartdrive and hope to rewire it for a similar purpose. Your workmanship is an inspiration.

Good to hear its all in working order now :)

Have you installed any batterybanks to charge up and f.ex. use with a inverter for 230V? or is it a proof of concept?

Does the Ratchet and pawl actually serve a function?
The image does not make the function explicitly clear... wink

Cheers,

Started as proof of concept. Now it powers my garden illuminations (2 led lightbulbs and i 25W fluorescent light at 12V)
