A few months ago i was looking through various HV sites and i found a link to a youtube video of some crazy german guys experimenting with a HUGE power supply and a kind of circular jacobs ladder thing.
i wanted to show the video to a friend but i cant find the link anywhere and i lost my web page history after updating my browser.
have any of you seen a video like this? if so does anyone have a link?

They just made the space between the two tubes or bars / whatever that forms the "wheel shape" wider and wider, just like a normal Jacobs ladder I supose.

Thank you for that link, i've been looking for ages. Ryan it has to be DC, the arc is pushed along in the same way as a rail gun projectile. As the arc reaches the end of the loop and the 2 wires end the arc jumps off the tips of the wires and back onto the beginning of the loop.

The high current one really is quite interesting, although it seems like the issues relating to having enough current flowing to have a substantial Lorenz force doesn't help the rails much. I wonder if anyone here has a beefy enough power supply to do it (500 mots anyone?)
