Just the pic will do for starters.

16V 0.1 uA (19 second exposure)
18V 1 uA (15 seconds)
24V 1 mA ( 1/160th sec)

Shall I go higher?

Wooden heatsink? Bolt it to a heatsink and push it some more... what is this thing rated to?

Maybe try liquid nitrogen cooling :D

Wooden heatsinks are fine for microwatts. Haven't you heard of a carbon sink.

Oh My GAWD! 100 chips? Chips that big will probably take 100s of mA a piece.

I think you misread Dr. Kilovolt, unless I missed something, he said the >100 Watt LEDs...

So lets push up to 105mA, 27V around 2.8W. Yes there are 100 chips in there. It cost AUD$500 from China on eBay. In the first pic it is covered by the glass from welding goggles and is very much brighter than 1 candlepower. Note that all LED's are firing evenly with no dropout (I was worried for a while).

You are so impatient. I am trying to build some dramatic suspense here.

I am rushing to finish a portable full power version by Earth Hour. Having a group of 15 photographers from the big city coming down to take happy snaps of my Tesla stuff tonight so busy for a while.

Here is a shot at 1 amp probably about 30V and 30W. Painfully bright and swamps the candle for photographic reference.
Second shot is of my IR thermometer after a short run with the small heatsink. I have got a better one now for the portable version.
