How to calculate total capacitance and Joules in a capacitor bank?

I am working on a little side project just to keep me busy while business is slow. I am making a coil gun that fits into an iPod touch retail box. By my measurements I can fit 30 330v 80uF photo flash caps along with 2 charging boards, and a 2aaa battery holder. There is just enough room left for a charging switch and a push button for firing. Can some one explain to me how to find the total capacitance and joules for my capacitor bank? I graduated with a business degree and not an EE degree so I am lost with how to figure this out.

Using common sense I multiplied 80 by 30 and got 2400uF So common sense would also dictate that since the capacitors are wired in parallel that the voltage stays at 330v so I put 2 and 2 together and came up with a total of 330v 2400uF total for my bank.

I posted this on another site and got some nasty remarks with people telling me to go back to school or buy a book and the like so please do not flame me. I want to learn not get bashed because I do not know everything.

I would recommend reading the site rules and familiarizing yourself with the search box and google. Google knows all.

The formula is:
E = (1/2)(C)(V^2)

Where E is energy in joules, C is capacitance in farads (you will have to convert uF to F), and V is voltage.

Go to wikipedia, and search "joules" or a term regarding capacitors, and the formula is E=1/2CV^2 or capacitance * voltage ^2 divided by 2
