very nice....i like the clear plexi case. What is that led on the giant heatsink for? It looks like a 1w luxon rgb with only 1 color connected. Here i thought girls wern't into electronics and tesla coils wink

and those are luxon LEDs but the module is a total of 12W cheesey

was there text that you removed? I could have swore i read what it does...

Anyways, nice job for what ever it is. If heating becomes a problem, its probably not good to put a heatsink in a enclosed space.

Thanks, and yes I did have the description, but I removed it just in case. The heatsink in the pic is overkill and wont be what is used in the final design, I just had it on hand and it looked nice.

I think you'll find our Dr. Spark already has the patent on things made out of LEDs and plexiglass.

And Philips probably have the patents on every other application of LEDs. For example, they actually patented the idea of mixing more than two colours of LED light. If you want to sell a RGB LED light commercially, you have to take out a license from them! So if you're going to apply for a patent, check the prior art real carefully.
