I have a grade 35 2" x 1/2" neo magnetic rotor (gaus = 12100) and a grade 48 2" x 1/2" (gauss = 14500) rotor. If everything else is the same except for the grade, is there a relationship between magnetic strength and induced coil voltage? Can one predict how much more voltage one magnetic will make compared to the other?

I'm not sure, but I just felt like I'd toss this in for, about a week ago I bought some magnets neodim, from magtech.com grade 45 rather nice then I researched some other stuff right after i bought them, and found kjmagnetics, and found stupid crazy strength magnets grade 50 and 52, so if you want some to try and experiment with I'd suggest them, plus I think pricing is ok, just watch out for the 750 pound pull force magnets..I wanted one but between 130$ minus shiping and the pure dangers of a magnet that strong.

Yea thats why I've limited myself to maybe a 50pound pull force on magnets, dont really feel like loosing abody part, plus I wouldnt have a need for a magnet that strong. BTW heres thelink to the site and more specificly to the n50 n52 grade magnets
Besides bout hte only thing I can think of to use a magnet that strong, would be to slip into an eployees backpack and lower the crane behind them and hang them up for a little while for pising me off, probly get fired for it after the fact.

Here is a test coil that I made in order to determine the final voltage before casting a stator. I need to make sure the voltage is high enough to energize the inverter, but not so high that it will exceed the maximum input voltage during normal use. The wood mounting is the same thickness as the final casting. It fits between the two magenetic rotors and will have a very small air gap.
This coil has 150 turns of 18g 200C wire. I will have three per phase, and I will have three phases. I got 14.5v at 150rpm.
I have been keeping a good photo diary of the wind turbine project here. I have recently made a web index for easier viewing of topics.
