anyone know of schematic of a basic charging circuit for a coil gun? I found a charging circuit for a kodak disposable camera, but theres a few things I dont recognize in the image. And I wanted to make my own, anyways, so that I can shrink it. make it much smaller using SMDs.
Hope someone can help.
btw heres the image of the charging circuit I found.

im sorry but it is a pain in the butt to do draw one yourself if you are not an electrical engineer. almost anybody who can read the schematic can put one together, and learn from it. its a learning experiance.

First of all, I didnt put that schematic together, I found it. Second, theres a part called IL1-NE2X. I dont have a clue what that is. Third the goal of me finding out, is so that I can concentrate my efforts on the coil gun im building, not the charging circuit that goes for it. Sorry If I seem a little blunt...

The circuit you posted is much more complicated than the one you actually need, for example you wont have a use for a trigger transformer... Just have a look at the boost converter three threads down, something like that is all you need.
