Does anyone know of a good web reference that shows the moon's orbit over many cycles? I believe the orbit precesses around the earth, but I would like to see/read something about the subject.

Please check sourceforge.net and google.com for applications before you ask.
Celestia is the best gnu program (has source code) I have come across that generates pretty accurate astronomy maps (people update the maps all the time.) What is really cool is if your computer is pretty powerful there are even published accurate high-resolution surface images of planets (like Mars etc.) that can wrap on to the 3D models. Other people have updated the maps to even include more comets as they are discovered.
The basic executable can be found here (IIRC there are some bugs with the default low resolution maps. Have a look around for the updates and extra features plugins. ):

It really did deserve the award... much like google earth it is just as fun for the solar system. I really like the space/time animations. It even gets the ground shadows and moon phase’s right if you know your position and time.
