My dilemma - I have 2 scopes available to me, very different models, but (roughly) the same price, let's say $200.
A Tek 2215 (60MHz) and a Tek 7904(500MHz)
Both work, include probes, manuals, etc.
I like the size of the 2215 relative to the 7904, but the 7904 with 5 modules provides far greater options (modules are Dual Trace Amp x2, Time Base, Dual Time Base, Differential Comparator)
The 2215 will sit on my bench or shelving, the 7904 needs it's own stand. I can't decide what to buy. As someone just starting out with the HV projects (Tesla Coils mainly) and related controller boards, etc. Will I EVER NEED the options on the 7904? Will I out-grow the 2215?

So far I have done fine for trouble shooting my circuits for flyback drivers, some small sstc, ZVS driver and staccato controllers with a good old 15MHz dual trace scope :)
But im sure at some point I will outgrow it when ill be moving on to larger sstc projects, but for starters its cheap and not a big deal if it by accident got damaged.
