Ahem, The tutorial i was using on instructables was using only 1 400V 470 uf capcitor and easly fires into a coffee can. with my VERY screwed up coil, I was able to fire into a pop can. Effeciency is over 5%. If it wasn't for my coil being very messy and nearly 8 inches pull out, im sure it would be better, and if it was 22 gauge instead of 26.

you know my first coilgun, before I knew there was forums to get help from, Didn't even fire much. Yet, I did also have 4 camera capacitors, and a random coiled wire. But i made it fully remote control. I took apart a RC car, and used the turning device to control it. Left: Charge. Right: Completes the circuit, and fires. :)

Well, Bought 2 spools of 14 gauge, 40feet magnet wire. that way I can also later make a multi-stage eventually. So, yay :D Cont know when ill get it yet so yup :)
