I want to do a one-way mirror tinted face mask, made out of something strong (able to drop it and it not crack or shatter on me). The thing is that I'd like to do it cheaply, under $50. I found a few places where I can get mirror window tints at any size extremly cheap. but my problem is getting somthing smooth and hard to put it on. I'd like it to be slightly curved and be really clear, so I can use a tint and still be able to see. I was thinking plastics, and wanted some opinons or an easy way to do it.

I suppose there's a good reason why a polycarbonate replacement visor for a full-face motor cycling helmet or something similar won't do?
for instance

How about a face shield like the ones chainsaw operators use? I've seen them in tool stores for about 20 bucks.
