Hello, note for me difference of IRFP460 and IRFP460N I buy 4 IRFP460 (no have "N" ) and i burned it :( My schema of sstc

Ps. i used IRFP460N and my sstc worked ~10 minutes (hard worked) and IRFP460N burned, but i used IRFP460 my sstc worked (half sparks on 230V) ~ 0,5 min.... and burned IRFP460...

Dont put the inverter gates in series, put it only one, and others put the input to ground or vcc.
Much gates in series cause delay, and that can make the coil out of tune and kill the mosfets.

Other thing, that interrupter makes things worsed , the ideal interrupter make the two mosfet drivers (TC4421 and 4422) with the outputs to 0V. That interrupter only will stop the incoming antenna signal.

The N series of Mosfets are newer and better.

Baah, this schematic will blow for sure! (sorry) I guess you've forgot to draw the antenna fork ground, but that's not the point. 4421/2 have no enable, so it's all about logic for you. I'd advice an AND gate for the non-inverting driver and OR for the inverting one, both rigged up to 555 output. (yet myself I prefer synchronized interrupt which disables the drive only when the generator signal edge comes)

But personally the interrupter circuit that works best is with two identical drivers, because when the interrupter gets on, both Drivers out will be the same output state, so no energy on the gdt cap.

My sstc worked, but i buy bad IRFP460 in internet of auction, why bad? he is a imitation IRFP460 not IRFP460... i buy imitation... whole sstc worket imitation are cold- voltake dead my irfp no power... on sstc i give only 230V, IFRP460 Have 500V, imitation have ~200V ? i dont know, i know only i buy imitation not IRFP460 :/ My sstc: 81 1223762981 Thumb

They might have died due to resonant voltage rise. You want the MOSFETs to be rated over 4 times the supply voltage. I think.

This is only in the current fed parallel resonant push-pull inverter aka "zvs". In a halfbridge they will only see 1x supply voltage (+any spikes from wiring inductance that may occur).

Yeah, I run a Half Bridge of IRFP250 with full wave retified mains, that get 170VDC, and the IRFP250 is 200VDC rate.

It has two AND gates, so it gives low level on the output drivers when interruptor output is low, that will never work well. One gate should be an OR gate with an inversed interuptor signal on it's input, so when the interruptor sends low, the inverting driver input remains high while the non-inverting remains low.
