hello everyone I know this al lot of people asked this question before, but.. I've been trying to make sense of the boost converter schematics from anothercoilgunsite, but, with no result the only thing is want is a converter that converts 4,5 VDC to 330VDC the converters out of disposible cameras kinda suck, so... does anyone have the schematics ? please?

Yes, yes I do.
4,5V might be a little low, I would try 12V while testing at least to make sure it works. I can't remember what the minimum operating voltage of a 555 is, but too close to 4,5V IIRC.

How funny is it that you fall in my lanes? I also was looking for flash-charger like circuits.. just.. faster charge... also like you going around 4-6V to 330.. :D
edit
Well, USE to have a flash charger. it kinda hit 100V, then oddly super high fast pitch sound, and i quickly fired as i thought it super blasted it self and didn't want it to explode my caps by going over 400.. Felt the inverter on the cam circuit, hot.

what affects the maxiumum voltage a boost converter can reach? with mine i can only get to 250v with 16v in (charges in less then a second with a 660uf cap)

I always thought it was the inductor rating.. Since.. I figured everything else is kinda pulsing it... Maybe the resistors... but.. Young w/e his name is, told me boost converters will charge to INFINITY. The only way to stop it at X is using a voltage divider.... so..Maybe its your resistor on something? :S

The propper way to read a cap like that:
Example: 224K
Starting from right to left, the k is tmp coef for most of our uses its not that important, the 4 indicates how many digits from pF it is so 4 means the value is XX0000pF then the last 2 digits on the left are you end values my example was 224 so its value is 220000pF or .22uF or 220nF SO!......
Your cpacitor is valued at.... 10000pF, 10nF, or .01uF they equaly the same thing nano or micro your preference of labeling.

I've still got one question. the ground in the schematics... I know in appliances the ground is the green wire, but till now I did not have to make a ground in my own circuits how do I do this? greetz

Ground is just the return node for the circuit. When you use a 12V battery for example, ground is the (-) negative electrode.
Theoretically the maximum voltage from a boost converter is infinite. But real components have limitations which will keep it down. First of all, the mosfet and diode will limit the voltage to their own breakdown voltage. The capacitor being charged will also break down at some point. The capacitor "leaks" some current too, and eventually it leaks enough that the boost converter can't supply enough energy to increase the voltage anymore.
