Got the secondary off my MOT, but...

 		I accidently hit the primary. I am thinking its repairable, since I dont think it will mind if a couple of windings are missing.

What do you think I should do?

EDIT: SH!T, looks like ive cut through a few of the windings dead

It would be ALOT easier for me (I think) to rewind the primary than it would to redisect the secondary. Are there any formula's to calculate how many windings i'd need to run this thing from 240V again?

EDITEDIT: Is it possible for me to simply lift the windings I cut through, up, and just resolder them? Will it affect how the transformer works if I did that?

 		Problem 1: I can't see any picture frown Edit: Sorry, I thought you wanted to attach it and failed

Problem 2: The MOT primary is machine wound extremely tightly so there is the minimum possible space between the turns.
It is impossible to wind the primary as tightly like the original with hand; you'll probably never fit more than 2/3 of the turns of the original winding with the same wire thickness.

As to removing turns, that's not doable as the original winding already has the absolute minimum possible turns, any less and it will draw huge currents without load (well, it already does even with the original winding tongue ).

 		Hi, I can seem to find my camera. But basically, about 5 peices of wire have been cut from each other. I have no idea where they all went, since they have been twisted. I guess i'll just have to try figure out where they each went frown

I would gladly give you one from my collection, but its not really worth sending a MOT around the world :)
