I am going to follow this schematic
2n3055

Can I wind the feedback coil only, and connect to the pins of build-in primary coil instead of winding both coils?

Is it necessary to insulate the pins with sth?

Hi, welcome to the forums. No, you need both windings for the oscillation to occur. You could try to find the primary windings at the pins on the bottom but I'd suggest that you wind your own. You don't really have to use magnet wire or anything. You can use any old insulated wire as long as it can handle he current.

There are other simple, powerful drivers like the ZVS flyback driver which is more efficient and can reach higher powers than the single or double transistor driver. Here is the schematics for the ZVS flyback driver. There are some good threads here and on the old 4hv forum about this driver.

Just make sure that once you wire everything up and when you turn it on, if no high pitched noise occurs, reverse the feedback connections.

I would just recommend you become familiar with HV risks before you build a ZVS driver that could hurt much more.

If you use the normal input winding, the feedback coil will have to be made with 5 to 10 times more turns, as the inductance of the primary winding of typical flyback transformers is around 1 mH, while with these few turns you end with a few tens of uH only.

Thanks.
What is the criteria for choosing a suitable power supply?(By Watts or?)

If I do not have 12V5A what is the best combination?
I may have the choices as follows
18.5V 3.5A
12V 4A
16V 4.5A

I would use the 16 volt one. The primary is better with 6-8 turns, and use between 10 and 20 ohms for the smaller resistor. It works better this way.

Thanks and there comes other questions.
Besides the sucking cup there are 2 more wires
Is it necessary to insulate the wires and other pins and by what way?

The primary wires only need to be insulated to prevent shorts between turns to the core, and the HV wire out is already insulated. The pins on the base of the flyback rarely arc over with 2n3055 driver, however if they do, maybe using clear silicone caulking could help insulate (note that the HV ground must remain uncovered for connecting to the flyback.
