I am going to make several large high voltage diodes and like most people do i was going to wrap them around a tube in a long string. This brought up the question if making it that way would add a abundant amount of inductance to the string? Now seeing that they work fine for many people it may not be a problem but i just thought it would be something worth discussing here.

I would only imagine there being a few mF of inductance there at most, so unless you are trying to make the string out of fast diode and using >1MHz inputs I wouldn't really worry about it...

I don't think the added inductance will make much of a difference at all. I'm guessing they're 1n4007 (what else?), which means <1A, and you probably wont be using them a higher than a few kHz. Both of these factors will greatly decrease the impact of any inductance.
Unless you're using some absurdly long diode string good to over 1MV, or you for some reason decide to put a ferrite rod in the middle, I think you'll be fine.
