Hey everyone, I have come across an interesting thing while searching the internet. Supposedly it is possible to use HHO generators to generate HHO so that it can be injected into the air intake manifold of a car. Some people have reported getting high mpg gains while using these solutions. So now I want to know what you think, is this some elaborate scam, or a viable solution for reducing dependency on foreign oil?

Making HHO from water is very inefficient and burn it is still more expensive than burning the gas...Unfortunately sad

I saw some videos where modified engines run on water- the idea is that water mist can explode if the spark power is boosted (reference to "water atomisation" or "exploding water" which I replicated on small scale).

But these metods are not scientifically proven and I don't want to talk BS or pseudoscience so I won't post any links, and will end here.

Passing HV through water does indeed make an almighty bang once you get over a certain energy level ( a KJ or so) , but it's still not going to be an efficient power source - it is not difficult to measure energy input and output for a seup like this, so if there ware some 'magic' energy release, someone would already have won a Nobel Prize for it.

I think what this really is is an addition to the gas, just mixed with air (and I assume adjusting the fuel:air ration settings of the engine)... using solar panels, or some BIG batteries, I have heard of small mpg gains, but not too significant... however, it is there, but the rig is more expensive than just using gas unless you do a LOT of driving and do no need to perform much maintenance on the rig... not useful if you ask me, but making a H2-gas hybrid that can switch one from the other while driving is cool and tested-working, and those are around (need the hydrogen before hand, made overnight or bought).

I really think that if someone invented such technology, the Big Oil Companies would buy it like nothing and we would not even know a technology like this existed. Maybe it already happened, maybe not.

my geography teacher actually told me that a guy invented such a car but he was killed by oil companies
