So again a long weekend and nothing smarter to do then to hang out in the lab, and my DRSSTC parts are still on the way
So why not make a SSTC just to feed the hunger for sparks (i already stooped counting them). I don't have pref boards and i forgot to order them from digikey. Well old "ikebana" technology still works.
Driver (tested and working):

Driver cased (not so ugly now )

Secondary ready:

Just finishing the bridge. My cordless drill discharged and now waiting for it to charge. First light tonight, at least i hope

Finished!
I built the bridge yesterday. However coil didn't like to work with half wave rectified mains and in sign of protest blew the fets.
I'm attaching 3 photos of first try. After third photo start new photos
Time for sleep...
This morning i rebuilt the bridge and running the coil from full wave rectified mains. I run it 1 hour without stop, and its shows its reliable. Time to case it up (today).
The only thing heating very much is the secondary because its winded with very fine wire and primary because its from thin wire too.
A youtube video
By the way if you wonder what kind of antenna is there its a scavenged HSDPA antenna, works great
