Ive got a 1000 pound load cell. Im playing to run this to a computer for my dyno project. I got a ADC.
Im just wondering how to calculate the gain needed to run it to the ADC?
Im planning on using this amp
The load cell is 2mV/V
Heres the data sheet
Im planning on building this ADC. Got the plans from a rocketry site which i now carnt find.
Cheers J.

The rating 2mV/V means that if you put X volts across the excitation winding, you will get 2mV*X output at full scale. Ie, if you use 5v excitation voltage you will get 10mv full scale output. You would then want to scale that to be full scale for your a/d, so if you are using a 5v reference voltage you would need a gain of 500.
