Yeah there sure is, go buy a real ionic breeze on the cheap.

Sharper image is fading to black (IE they are closing for good), and liquidating everything. Today I just picked up some 9 volt 54watt power bricks for five bucks a pop. Ionic breezes are a hell of a lot cheaper than normal now, and they are gonna keep getting discounted.

The whole chain will be deep-sixed by around 7/25.

I have two nonworking Ionic Breezes (the bigger ones) that I looked at briefly and never got around to fixing. I'd ship them to you for $25 (they are fairly large). Pictures are at Link2 and Link2

No wires off, one powers up but doesn't do anything else. I suspect the driver for the flyback like transformer. Its of the single MOSFET style.

I was trying to find the link but have to rush off so please excuse me not posting it, but the commercial ionic home machines often are composed of smaller PCboard "sub-units" of 7-14Kv as small self contained HV affairs. Of course, if wired in series, they could just have one which had died.
