question on tuning a 6 stage gc

 		Ok so i've done some messing around with my coil design. I've rewound the first stage with #22 wire instead of #18. This gave much more wire and with it resistance and should have made the pulse longer. But i'm still not getting the same velocity as with the original coil, and the starting point still is inside the coil slightly. Could some one out there let me know what kind of coil they used with a simillar 35j cap? I need to know if i'm goin to have to change my design more or just go with what i have now.
