Hi,
I'm new here and this is my first thread so please forgive me if i get something wrong...

Ok so I've built a couple single stage coil guns and also a 3 stage one and now I'm designing a 6 stage gun. My main goal is to have relitivly good effeciency and to do this I want the design to be easily adjustable. I was wondering if a photogate that had an adjustable trigger out delay would be a good idea/easily built. I've done a good deal of research on photogates and haven't found anything on the design of such a circuit. If anyone can help me out with the theory or a schematic it would be greatly appreciated. I have fairly good electronic/soldering skills so that's not a problem.
