Hi folks. first sorry for my poor english. i am not good at this.
I've looked here so long time cause 4hv didnt send a code to my e-mail.
help noob!

Link2

in this site,as u see, it used 555 timer and maked L*di/dt big.
i callculationed it how much. it's just about "1v" at 1khz. i cant understand what makes 250vdc.
i did not make it yet.. but i cant believe.

and.. this one..

in 2nd fig, i think it's capacitor charge boost circuit. looks like use kickbak voltage.
i cant understand how it works.
somebody please explain this,

In the first schematic 555 drives a power transistor with square wave. When current is applied, inductor takes some energy. Then the transistor is switched off, and inductor tries to push energy out, which causes comparatively high voltage. Second circuit utilizes inductive kickback too, but it charges two capacitors. Third shows the circuit of shooting coil, caps and thyristors. When you close "fire trigger", L1 shoots it's content out. If "contact exit switch" is some kind of optical switch, whole system could be a two-state coilgun, triggering SCR bank 2 and so shooting contents of L2 out. "Indicator" starts to sink current when the voltage rises. It can be used as a meter for cap voltage, and there it lights a led.

Exactly as Laakkonen said. You might also want to protect the caps from overvoltage, see here for example: Link2
So basically there's a comparator which stops the charging when the voltage reaches a wanted level.

BTW, what does anothercoilgunsite have against 4hv? Or do they just want to save their bandwith by disabling linking from 4hv?

Something went bad a while ago, unfortunately I missed it. He was banned from the forum at any rate, which is probably why he holds a grudge against us.

About my boost converter, it's a poor version made to suit specific components. Namely a TL071 op-amp, which doesn't work well as a comparator. Use Aahz' version instead. Link2

Then best not to speculate.
