Okay, little back story. My GF's son had a pint of milk he was drinking in her car one sunny day, and instead of drinking it all, he decided he would put it in the cup holder in the back seat untill he was thirsty once again. Well, that was on a Thursday morning. The carton sat in the cup holder all weekend and did what milk does in Texas heat. Upon entering the car this Monday morning, an odd and faintly putrid smell was present in the air. Seeing his milk in the cup holder, he decided to take a drink, and you can only imagine his surprise. He not only spit the rotten milk all over the back of the driver seat, he dropped the carton where it spilled all over the floorboard.
We tried getting the carpet and upholstery professionally cleaned, but the smell of death is still present.
My question to you, my friends is this: What mixture of common household items/chemicals will eradicate the stench of the rotten milk from the vehicle without discoloring the carpet/seat covering?
If any of you has experienced this life changing event, and has any suggestions as to how to fix the problem, I would be most grateful. It is now Thursday once again, and the smell is still there.

I have a 12VDC Negative Ion generator. I guess I should just plug it in and leave it in the car overnight.
I have no idea if it will produce enough ozone as the ozone seems to break down to O2 quite fast in the air. You know what I would use, the 100kv dc flyback that can fill up the room in a minute

Put squares of wire mesh on both sides of a sheet of glass and hook the mesh up to a NST (make sure it doesn't arc around the edge of the glass. It will make A LOT of ozone really fast, try not to breathe it too much.
