Hi all, I have a lovely (cheap from the 'bay) HP 1725A 275Mhz scope.
The only flaw is it's missing it's timebase knob. I've attached a substitute, but the timebase scales were on the knob itself. I'm just trying to work out the range of steps.
From Googled spec: "Sweep ranges from 10 ns/div to 0.5 Sec/div (24 ranges), 1-2-5 sequence."

Sounds right.
...and you should be able to check out most of those settings with various sources...
2ms/div to 50ms/div with local mains line frequency, 100us/div to 2ms/div with 1kHz probe test signal, faster timebase settings will need some known high frequency oscillator
