High guys, I have one theoretical concept…
I noticed that some of you are playing with the design of digital high speed cameras so I have a question, alternatively a challenge for some of you…
Once working with digital camera for taking pictures of sparks I usually set long exposition time (around 10s) and only play with the ISO and the aperture. My point is whether there is a possibility to make the occurrence of the final 10s exposition image as movie? In other words, there will be only one picture (background) a new signal in the movie will be continuously added into the first picture… Is it doable? here is a movie of what I mean, based on software processing (additive slide shhow)

No, when the sparks are overlapping on the same exposure there is very little that can be done. If you use a rotating mirror to place the sparks side by side it is possible to split up the image into frames and make a movie.
