If I connect a transformer like in the schematic, what will be the maximum current I can draw from the output, 1A or 10A?

That's known as 'boost' transformer configuration - you'll safely be able to draw the transformer's secondary rated current, that is, 10A.

no thats wrong i think: The primary has only a current of 1A so you only can draw 1A

No, you can draw the full rated secondary current (10a).

The output is in parallel with the primary (1a) winding, so its current rating does not apply.

The output is lower than the input, so isn't it buck? Boost would be the other way around.

I say 11 amps :)

10 amps via the 23V winding and 1A from the 230 V winding.
(Assuming that the phases of the windings are correct)

There are a few ways to look at it but the simplest is conservation of energy
253 V @ 10A in, 230V @ 11A out.

Actually you can draw more than 10A from the output. You can draw an output current that causes 10A to be drawn from the input, because the input current goes through the 10A rated secondary.

For this configuration, the maximum output current is the sum of the two winding current ratings, so you can safely draw 11A from the output.

But what assures "sharing" of current between the windings, wire resistance? or am I missing something?

i would say 1 amp because at 10 a from the 23v winding( the max) it will draw 1a from 230v. but keep in mind that transformers can usually be overdriven by a significant amount...
